Man killed in Jefferson County RV fire identified

BESSEMER — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a man found dead after an RV fire on Thursday, May 6, 2021.
The body of Michael Earnest Seals, 62, of Bessemer, was found by fire personnel reporting to a trailer fire. The fire happened at a private residence in the 600 block of Willow Bend Lane, in Bessemer, around 7:42 a.m. Seals was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:55 a.m.

The cause and origin of the fire are being investigated by the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office and the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
