WASHINGTON, D.C. — The suspect in Friday’s U.S. Capitol attack has ties to West Virginia and recently submitted a request to change his name in an Indiana court.

According to various reports, Noah Green, 25, played football and ran track at Glenville State College before transferring to Christopher Newport University in Virginia. He graduated with a degree in finance from CNU in 2019.
Green was born in Fairlea, West Virginia and grew up in nearby Covington, Va. Court records show he submitted a request in a Marion County, Indiana court to change his name from Noah Ricardo Green to Noah Zaeem Muhammad in December 2019. Green did not show up for the hearing scheduled for last week.
