Man gets 4 years' jail for filing S$247,000 worth of fake insurance claims for staged traffic accidents

SINGAPORE — A man who recruited people to act as “phantom” drivers and help file fraudulent insurance claims based on staged accidents was given a jail sentence on Thursday (Aug 17) of 49 months, or about four years.
