Man facing capital murder charge in deadly Walker County shooting

A man shot in Walker County Thursday night has died, and the suspect is being charged with capital murder.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 8:55 p.m. to a call reporting an active shooting at a home on Vallon Circle, which is in the mobile home community formerly known as “The Domaine.”
When deputies arrived, they found 36-year-old Jerry James Jr. critically wounded by gunfire. He was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where he died Friday morning.
