Man extradited from US over dangerous driving charge

A man in his 20s has been extradited from the United States to face a charge of dangerous driving causing death.
Francis Carr, with an address at Cappaghduff, Tourmakeady, Co Mayo, is alleged to have been the driver of a car which crashed in 2017, resulting in the deaths of two passengers.
18-year-old Orla O'Malley, from Cross, Co Mayo, and Sean Thomas Halloran, a 20-year-old from Clonbur, Co Galway, were killed when the car they were travelling in hit a wall near Tourmakeady in June of that year.
