METAMORA TWP., MI -- A 34-year-old Millington man was killed in a crash that shut down a portion of M-24 in Lapeer County for eight hours Tuesday, police said.
Metamora Township police responded shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, to a two-vehicle crash on M-24 (South Lapeer Road) near Brocker Road.
A 2007 Dodge Ram hauling a utility trailer was traveling northbound on M-24 when it crossed the center line, the initial investigation showed, according to a Metamora Township Police Department news release.
The Dodge Ram then collided head-on into a 2015 Peterbilt water truck, police said.
