Man convicted of Sweet Home murder sentenced to life in prison

ALBANY, Ore. – Page Lee Butterfield of Turner was sentenced to life in prison for second-degree murder in the shooting death of Corey Burdick, 43, of Sweet Home.
He will be eligible for parole after 25 years in prison.
Butterfield, 27, was also sentenced Tuesday to nearly six years in prison for second-degree assault for shooting Ervin Smith, 67, who survived. That sentence will be served after the murder sentence. Butterfield was also given an 18-month concurrent sentenced on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
