Man arrested after high-speed chase in PJ, heroin found in vehicle

PETALING JAYA: A 34-year-old man has been arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase through PJ Old Town here.
Images and videos of the pursuit have been circulating on social media and WhatsApp showing the man’s car being driven recklessly with police hot on its tail.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the incident occurred at around 6.40pm on Wednesday (June 2).
"Policemen on patrol in a police car were conducting a check along Jalan 18/16 here when they stopped the car.
"When they attempted to check the vehicle, the suspect sped off and they gave chase," he said in a statement on Thursday (June 3).
