Man admits running over geese on purpose at N.J. shopping center

A driver admitted Monday that he intentionally ran over a family of geese in a busy Toms River, N.J., shopping plaza in 2019, authorities said.
Quintin Alec-Manning, 22, of Brick Township, N.J., pleaded guilty to animal cruelty and will face a sentence of 90 days in Ocean Jail, authorities said. Alec-Manning will also need to perform community service, and be subject to an order that would prohibit him from ever owning or working with animals, according to a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 5.
