BROCKTON — A man was seriously injured in a shooting on the city's West Side on Friday night, police said.
Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital staff called Brockton police to report that someone in a Honda sedan dropped off a victim with a gunshot wound shortly after 8:30 p.m.
"The male victim’s relative drove him to the emergency room suffering from a single gunshot wound," Brockton police spokesperson Darren Duarte said.
Police say the 33-year-old man is in serious condition, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The victim was later flown by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital for further treatment.
