The junta in power in Mali announced this Friday, in a decree read on national television by the government spokesman, the holding on June 18 of the referendum on a new Constitution. Members of the security forces will vote in advance on June 11, it said. The referendum was initially announced for March 19. It had been postponed on March 10: a "slight postponement", said the spokesman of the transitional government. The government assured that the date of the end of the transition set for February 2024 would be respected.
