Malden officers saved gunshot victim's life

Two Malden Police officers saved the life of a gunshot victim in the parking lot of Walgreens at 185 Centre St. on the evening of March 4.
A man and woman were shot and found in the parking lot just before 7 p.m.
"I will say that because of the actions of Officers Ken Watkins and Rich Doherty, one of the gunshot victims is alive today," Police Chief Kevin Molis said at a press conference the following day. "Absolutely, irrefutably, that it was their actions, their knowledge of the use of a tourniquet, that prevented this violent incident from becoming a greater tragedy.
