Major showjumping success for former Meath club footballer in California

Former Oldcastle star Nicky Galligan is waking up this morning after his first ever Show Jumping Grand Prix win at the Desert International Horse Park in California. On board Javas Miss Jordan the Meath man took home the top prize of $137,000.
Galligan was one of the stars of the show as Oldcastle claimed the 2009 Meath IFC title. The full forward scored 1-3 as Kilmainhamwood were defeated 2-11 to 0-6 in the decider.
The former footballing star took to social media to sum up his win.
"I realized yesterday wasn't a dream but a day when my dreams came true!"
