(ABC 6 News) - If you've driven anywhere near downtown Rochester lately, you've probably noticed a major road is missing. The city is in the middle of a year-long construction project on North Broadway.
Construction there began in April and is expected to last through November this year. The construction is blocking off a major part of downtown Rochester and restricting access to local businesses.
"I would say our business is down thirty to forty percent," Jeff Minske, who owns Minske Bait, Tackle, and Custom Rods, said.
Jeff's business is right on North Broadway. He said the construction is making it difficult for customers to get to his store and it hurts because this is normally his busiest time of year.
