Maine teen pulled from Androscoggin River dies at hospital, officials say

A Maine teen who was pulled from the Androscoggin River in Greene after going underwater has died, according to officials.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office sad Isha Ali, 13, of Lewiston died at Maine Medical Center in Portland Tuesday night.Sign up for our Newsletters
Deputies said they responded to an area of the river known as Cherry Pond Monday evening.
Officials said Ali was playing in the water with friends and family when she went underwater and did not resurface.
A Maine game warden, a deputy and others in the area searched for Ali, eventually found her and brought her to shore where CPR was performed, according to the sheriff’s office.
