LAKE PLACID — Construction crews upgrading Main Street expect to continue excavating for the new water main from Monday, May 3 to Friday, May 7, according to Haley Breen, community development director for the town of North Elba and village of Lake Placid.
Sections of the water main will be chlorinated and pressure tested from Saranac Avenue to the Great Adirondack Brewing Company. After it is tested and approved, another crew will start making connections to the buildings in the coming week if they can’t get to it during the week of Monday, April 26.
