Debenhams in Barrow
READERS have had their say on what should happen to the space that houses Barrow’s Debenhams when the shop closed on May 12.
The department store chain was bought by online fashion retailers Boohoo, with all physical stores due to close by May 15.
Mail readers have spoken out on social media on what could become of the Portland Walk shop and paid tribute to staff.
John Wadsworth said: “A miniature shopping centre for franchises/small/ local independent shops. Could also incorporate the upstairs all the way down to WH Smith.”
Pat Carr said: “A place where we can buy shoes, clothes etc for the over 40s upwards.”
