Maidstone man arrested after East Surrey Hospital disturbance

A man from Maidstone has been arrested after a crowd of alleged Covid-deniers tried to drag an elderly relative out of a hospital's critical care ward.
The 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance and is still in custody.
East Surrey Hospital
Police say he was arrested yesterday afternoonafter people, some of whom were not wearing face masks, gained access to the ward at East Surrey Hospital at Redhill to visit a family member.
Surrey police say the group was abusive to hospital staff and refused to leave when asked to.
