Mahle CEO will leave company amid restructuring
Stratmann quits as the supplier prepares for an electrified future

Mahle CEO Joerg Stratmann is leaving the German supplier amid a restructuring at the company.
Stratmann, 51, will resign from his position with effect from March 31, 2021, Mahle said in a statement.
Mahle produces combustion engine components and Stratmann was restructuring the supplier as the industry pivots toward electric vehicles, which do not need such parts.

Stratmann had been under pressure from unions after announcing wide ranging job cuts at the supplier last year.
Mahle said Stratmann and supervisory board chairman, Heinz Junker," have mutually agreed in the most cordial terms to bring their working relationship to an end."
