A magnitude 4.1 earthquake shook the San Francisco Bay Area Monday evening.USGS
A magnitude 4.0 earthquake rattled the San Francisco Bay Area around 6:30 p.m. Monday evening, with residents across the region reporting the shaking.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake struck at depth of 10 kilometers with an epicenter near San Lorenzo in Alameda County.
The quake was significant enough that it caused both BART and Muni delays. BART announced a 10-minute delay, while the Muni delay was indefinite as both public transit services inspect the tracks for any damage.
