Maggie Rose refuses to back down to society's expectations in powerful new song, Saint

Maggie Rose releases the gospel-power of new song “Saint” from her forthcoming album,
Have A Seat.  “Saint” unfolds slowly as a delicate refusal to succumb to the expectations of others and ends in a giant choir-swaying groove as Rose belts “I’m not a saint” to the waves and swells of a fading Hammond B-3 and string section.
“This song’s about admitting to not being perfect and being okay with that,” says Rose. “It’s something we should stop expecting of women—because women are many things, and saintly is not a requirement.” Have A Seat arrives everywhere Friday, August 20 via Starstruck Records.
