Madison Village Planning Commission has approved the final site plan for a Love's Travel Stop that will be constructed at the southeast corner of Interstate 90 and Route 528.
Commission members voted unanimously in favor of the plan during a meeting held remotely by video conference on Dec. 21.
Before issuing a decision, the commission heard concerns about the Love's project expressed by several area residents. They said they were worried that it would create heavier traffic congestion in the vicinity and attract certain types of criminal activities, to name a few examples.

The panel's action provided administrative approval of the project for purposes such as zoning, development of a stormwater management plan, and architectural review, said village Administrator Dwayne Bailey.
