Madison County Schools prepare for vaccines

Madison County School Superintendent David Gilliam told Board of Educations members during their scheduled meeting on Tuesday the district has already taken steps to prepare for COVID-19 vaccine distribution.
Gilliam said he and other school superintendents received an update about vaccine distribution from Gov. Andy Beshear on Friday during a conference call. The superintendent said the governor asked the superintendents to begin preparing for an extensive distribution of the vaccine across their district.
Gilliam said the district sent out a survey to staff on Dec. 8 and have started to get responses back — informing the district's plan to distribute.
