MADISON, Ala. (WAFF) - A big change is coming to Madison City Schools.
Thursday night, Madison City Schools Board of Education unanimously approved a rezoning plan. The rezoning plan has been a hot debate for months now.
This is the 4th revision of the elementary rezoning plans. Madison City School Superintendent, Ed Nichols says they have considered everyone’s concerns.
“Most of our growth is on the western side of our town and so we have to balance that growth. We do not want just new growth on one side of town. We have to balance that with our schools on the eastern side of town, " says Nichols.
