Macao high school graduates sit exam for mainland universities - China News

MACAO, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- A total of 1,192 high school graduates in China's Macao Special Administrative Region sat the exam for mainland universities on Saturday amid strict epidemic control measures, according to Macao's Higher Education Bureau.
With recommendations from their schools, the students have applied for 98 mainland universities, with Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Hubei and Jiangsu ranking the top five destinations in terms of the number of applicants, the bureau said.
The students were asked to wear face masks and have their body temperatures checked before entering the exam site at the Kao Yip Middle School. They were also divided into three batches to take the exam at different hours to avoid crowding.
