M6 closed after serious crash at M62 junction - latest updates

Traffic cameras appear to show M62 traffic heading from Liverpool towards Manchester queueing to get off the motorway at  J9, near Winwick, to detour onto the M6 via the A49 and carry on northwards into Lancashire. 
The M6 has been closed northbound this morning at its junction with the M62 near Warrington, after a serious crash.
Shortly after 5am, Highways England said the motorway was shut between J21A and J20.
Traffic police officers are attending, assisted by North West Ambulance Service.
North West Motorway Police warned there is also debris on the southbound carriageway of the M6.
