Lucknow Thai woman death case: Activist files application in CJM Court for FIR
Samarth Srivastava
Activist Dr Nutan Thakur on Thursday filed an application before CJM Court Lucknow seeking registration of an FIR in the suspicious death of a Thai woman in the UP capital.
A 41-year-old woman from Thailand died at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Lucknow on May 3. She was admitted there for Covid-related complications. According to her tour guide, she had arrived in India a few days ago on a tourist visa. However, the cause of her visit to Lucknow is the subject of much speculation as some opposition leaders in the state, including Samajwadi Party leader IP Singh, alleged that the Thai national was brought to India by the son of BJP MP Sanjay Seth as an escort. The BJP MP has denied the claim.
