CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Yankees traded Lowcountry native James Reeves on Thursday night to the San Diego Padres in exchange for outfielder Greg Allen.
An alum of Ashley Ridge high school and The Citadel, Reeves was a 10th round pick by the Yankees in the 2015 major league draft. He’s spent the last 6 years as part of the organization including a stint with the Charleston RiverDogs who were the Yankees Low-A affiliate in 2016.
