Loveland police officer charged with assault, child abuse pleads not guilty

Wilbert Howard, 53, appeared before 8th Judicial District Court Judge Joseph Findley Monday morning where he pleaded not guilty to his charges, which include second-degree assault, a class 4 felony; two counts of child abuse, both class 1 misdemeanors; and a sentence enhancer of crime of violence causing serious bodily injury.
