Louth flooding: County Council didn't call in army as it felt its staff were dealing with crisis

Louth County Council didn’t consider asking the army to help when responding to the devastating flooding that hit Dundalk and the Cooley peninsula as it was felt that its own resources were dealing with the situation, councillors were told at the Dundalk Municipal District meeting on Tuesday night.
