Getting a vaccine in Jefferson County has never been easier, but doses are not going out as quickly as health officials hoped.
UofL Health's mass vaccination site at Cardinal Stadium opened the same day that eligibility in Kentucky expanded to anyone 16 and older. Mayor Greg Fischer was hoping the site would be filled for multiple weeks, but that hasn't been the case.Sign up for our Newsletters
"What we've seen in other announcements, as we've brought in new groups by age, is we saw a flood of people come into the vaccination sites. We did not see that with Cardinal Stadium," Fischer said.
