BATON ROUGE — On Thursday, Scott Rule, chancellor of Louisiana Delta Community College, announced his resignation effective June 30.
In a written message to college faculty and staff, Rule cited family commitments and goals external to the college led to his decision to resign.
“I have been trying to meet commitments and goals outside the college that I had planned to pursue upon my retirement from the Georgia system,” said Rule. “I have come to realize I cannot do both. And, with the importance of the work we do, I feel it is a disservice, to say the least, not to be able to focus 100 percent of my efforts on you, our students, and the businesses who need us."
