Tiger King was released on Netflix when most of the world went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. The lockdown gave viewers more time to indulge in entertainment and this led to
Tiger King trending on Netflix and social media.
The documentary followed two big cat enthusiasts Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. Joe Exotic is currently behind bars serving a 22-year sentence for participating in a murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin, as well as violating several federal wildlife laws.
