KUALA LUMPUR (May 10): Lotuss Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Lotus’s Malaysia) has no plan for job cuts and will continue to be recruiting to support its growth aspirations and plans despite concerns about the employment status of Tesco Malaysia employees, following its acquisition of the latter.
President Kenneth Chua said the company is recruiting 200 new local colleagues at its Bukit Beruntung, Selangor distribution centre (DC) to further affirm its commitment to create employment in the country.
“The pandemic has put many people out of a job and in support of the government’s initiative in creating employment for Malaysians, we are offering 200 permanent positions for job seekers in our Bukit Beruntung DC,” he said in a statement today.
