LOTTERY players have helped a Somerset charity secure funding to save wildlife.
Yeovil Rivers Community Trust (YRCT) will get £6,000 from players of the postcode lottery to improve the quality of the country park.
Dodham Brook in Ninesprings, Yeovil, is set to undergo a drastic transformation to help protect the habitats of endangered species and create a landscape for people to enjoy.
The project will involve planting new wildlife and improve the quality of the brook, with a heavy focus on protecting endangered water voles. It will include aquatic benches, reprofiled banks and extensive planting of aquatic species.
