After Wednesday's community forum, Jackson County Animal Shelter volunteer and advocate Laura Ahearn said she's feeling optimistic. During the forum, Friends of the Animals announced it is planning to sign a lease on a building near the Rogue Valley International Airport. The building would assist the shelter and serve as a spay and neuter facility.
