It’s been such a long time since I attended a live performance that I can’t remember the last time I was in an audience taking in some form of theatrical and/or musical entertainment.
It might have been a Christmas performance of Carrie Beauchamp’s Nightingale Chorus. Maybe it was a concert at a popular Ottawa nightclub featuring the brother of my friend. Or it could have been the time when my family and I travelled to Disneyworld to celebrate my brother’s 50
th birthday and were forced to go on the ‘It’s a Small World After All’ ride. There were very creepy robot-children singing the same chorus over and over again, an image I will hold until I depart from this world.
