Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Hobie Daugherty along with shift Sgt. John Inman, Deputy James Fox, and the Laurel County Constable’s office were called out to a home off Wyatt Road where a man was reportedly violating an EPO and attempting to break into the house. Officers arrived to find that the man, 21-year-old Austin Hawk of London, had gotten into the home and fought with a man and hit a woman. Hawk had also allegedly used a box cutter to cut two tires on a pickup truck there. Hawk was arrested and charged with burglary, assault, criminal mischief, violation of an EPO, resisting arrest and others. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
