Jindal Steel & Power said it has more than 500 tonnes of liquid oxygen stock readily available at its Angul plant in Odisha. “We are waiting for the users to send their tankers,” the company tweeted on Thursday.
Even as steelmakers step up the supply of medical oxygen, fresh challenges emerge over transporting the life-saving gas from the states of excess supply to places like Mumbai and Delhi where there is a shortage.
