“It’s a wonderful day and it’s a wonderful life.” Mauriel Lautt, a resident at the facility, said.
It was the first time the event was held at the care facility and the first event open to families of residents after many months COVID-19 restrictions. Seva Hospice partnered with the Brookdale Senior Living facility to bring this event to their residents, a butterfly release event.
“The butterfly is kind of the standard international picture of new beginnings,” said Chuck Adams, spiritual care counselor/ chaplain at Seva Hospice. “Has come to be a well known figure for people experiencing new beginnings in life.”
