Footfall counters detected 592,484 walks on the promenade in Bray during 2020.
This was an increase of 195,040 on figures from 2019, when the counter detected 397,444 passers-by.
Meanwhile, numbers walking the Main Street and town centre have declined by over 130,000 in the year.
The month of November saw a footfall of 70,846 on the prom, while in the same month in 2019, the counter detected 23,370 passes.
The lowest month of the year for footfall was February 2020, when footfall of 15,573 was detected.
The number of walkers on the Cliff Walk reduced in 2020. During lockdown in April the walk was closed and the counter there detected 590 passers by.
