Cape High sophomore Gavin Birl suffered a significant injury while snowboarding in Pennsylvania Jan. 12, requiring emergency surgery to repair his spinal cord. SUBMITTED PHOTOS
A gofundme has been set up to raise funds for the Birl family (l-r) Damian, Katherine, Gavin, Sophia and Collin Birl. Gavin Birl will need extensive rehab for his injury.
