Local residents 'carry the cross' to Good Friday Service

VAN WERT – A group of area residents from the local area assembled at
the YWCA on Friday to accompany a re-enactment of the carrying of the
cross of Christ to the First United Methodist Church for the community’s
annual Good Friday service.
“Today is Good Friday. Christians all
around the world are remembering the death of Jesus,” said Rev. Chris
Farmer, pastor of the First United Methodist Church. “His redeeming
cross gave us victory.
