Local pub raises £1,600 for charity after hosting virtual quiz nights during the pandemic
A local pub which has raised £1,600 by hosting virtual quiz nights throughout the pandemic has been praised for its work by the MP for Clwyd South.
Staff at the Sun Trevor, in Llangollen, have been hosting the weekly events to raise money for charity since the start of the first lockdown last spring.
Clwyd South MP Simon Baynes recently made a socially distanced visit to join owners, Paul and Katy Jones, the Sun Trevor Quizmaster, Maggie Smith, and Nightingale House Community Engagement Officer, Sue Williams, for the handing over of a cheque worth £1,600 to the hospice.
