30-year-old allegedly attempted to entice minor for sex
A Cassville man is facing two felony charges for allegedly kidnapping a child and enticing the minor for sex.
Shawn Hall, 30, of Cassville, is charged with child kidnapping, a Class A felony, and enticement of a child, a unclassified felony.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Thaddaeus Harris, deputy with the Barry County Sheriffs Office, the crime allegedly occurred on Dec. 25, 2020, at about 8 p.m. at a rural Exeter address.
Hall allegedly took a minor under the age of 15, without parents permission, saying he was giving the child a ride to a friends house. He then allegedly took the child to a camper at a rural Cassville address and left the child there for 12 hours without supervision and with no access to food or water.
