LE MARS — Memorial Day is less then a month away but plans are already in place with Wasmer Post #241 American Legion.
The post will conduct the Avenue of Flags program at the Plymouth County Courthouse Monday, May 31.
“Dedication of veteran’s burial flags into the Avenue of Flags will highlight the program,” said Wasmer Post Adjutant Jim Rolfes. “Last year these flags were unable to be dedicated and will be enrolled into the avenues along with the flags that are being readied for this year’s Memorial Day.”
If anyone has a flag of a deceased veteran they would like dedicated, they should bring it to the Legion Club now so it can be put on a pole and a name and dog tag will be added.
