Local News: Federal fugitive discovered in OC (6/22/21)

Larry Cooper, Sr., of Alton, was found deceased at his residence outside of Alton earlier this year by a utility worker.
After determining Cooper had no known relatives in the area, Public Administrator Becky Granger was contacted by Oregon County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 23 to take charge of the estate.
Little did they know at the time, that the deceased individual would turn out to be a federal fugitive.
After acquiring an Order to Take Charge, Granger, under the supervision of Oregon County Probate Court, assessed the estate.
She became suspicious of the identity of the individual when she discovered numerous aliases. Cooper was living under the alias of Larry Draken, one of 14 he lived under through the years.
