At the time of compiling this report, the New Mexico Department of Health, announced a total of 114,731 New Mexico COVID-19 confirmed positive cases statewide, an increase of 1,791 new cases. In addition, COVID-19 cases recorded locally are as follows: Grant County increased 9 new cases for a total of 599 positive cases; Luna County increased 18 new cases for a total of 2,118 positive cases; Hidalgo County increased 1 new cases for a total 205 total positive cases; and Catron County remain unchanged with 51 positive cases. Statewide, there are 916 COVID-19 hospitalizations.
The New Mexico Department of Health has announced two new public health emergency orders in response to the added strain on hospitals and health care providers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first new order will temporarily limit non-essential surgeries effective from today, December 11
