Local bank, youths combine on holiday greetings

WORTHINGTON — Residents of Worthington’s assisted living facilities got some special Christmas greetings this past week, thanks to a collaboration between a local bank and daycare providers.
Deliveries were made Friday afternoon to four Worthington locations, just a couple of weeks after an idea during a meeting at First State Bank Southwest sparked a full-fledged holiday effort.
“I asked our marketing committee, ‘What can we do in the community in this COVID time for somebody that needs it the most,” First State Bank Southwest CEO Greg Raymo explained Friday. “We thought, ‘What about seniors who have been unable to see their families for months?’”
