Part of Gallowtree Gate in the city centre has been cordoned off by police as they deal with an 'incident'.
A witness who was near the scene at around 9.30am today told LeicestershireLive: "It looks like it could be have been a stabbing."
However, the nature of the incident has not been confirmed by the police.
The cordon is centred around Taco Bell.
